An amazing, original oil on canvas of an autumnal landscape, signed by Almon(d) Baldwin (1800 - 1870), a landscape and marine painter, born in Connecticut.  He started as a house-painter, became a sign painter, then an artist and finally a curator of the Western Art Union from 1847 to 1849.
Framed in a wooden, gold frame, the canvas and frame are both in excellent condition.  Hanging cord is attached to the back so the canvas is ready to hang immediately.
