A charming and elegant lidded cheese dish dating from 1930's/1940's period, made by Soho Pottery Ltd, England and named Solian Ware.  It is in exquisite condition, no chips, cracks or fading to the beautiful floral border design, just some very faint crazing mainly to the lid. I suspect this has been kept carefully in a cupboard for many years as a treasured heirloom.
