A very pretty, original watercolour painting of a floral bouquet in a pewter pitcher of blue delphiniums, white harebells and daisies, by the renowned British artist Winifred Walker (1882 - 1965). This is a heavy vintage painting with glass frontage affixed to a solid wood back by 6 metal clips (rusted but easily replaced). Excellent condition throughout and ready to hang, as shown.
Winifred Walker was a prolific painter of flowers - she illustrated many botanical and gardening books, as well as seed and nursery catalogues and won many awards for her work. She was appointed as the 'official' RHS artist and is often labelled as the 'most famous of all flower painters'.
