An extraordinarily pretty, Italian, Capodimonte style clam shell dish, made by BC Creazioni, with exquisite, hand-painted raised floral detail and decorated using real gold.
The beautiful floral decoration is almost all intact - there is just one flat chip on one inner edge, as shown in the last picture, that has taken with it half a leaf.  This chip is actually quite hard to see as it does not interfere with the scalloped edging form.
This is a really pretty ornament and has been created with amazing attention to detail.
