Original and authentic oil painting of Eton College by artist Edmund Bristow (1787 - 1876) who resided in Eton. In highly ornate, gold plaster frame.

The background to this painting goes back to the 1960s when a senior partner in a London law firm accepted this in lieu of payment from client, who couldn't pay his legal fees.  
The painting was professionally authenticated some years ago.
In beautiful condition - there is just a chip of gold plaster that has been glued back, as shown in last picture, but hard to see. 
No glass frontage.
