A very elegant and unusual, Regency style, oval vintage coffee table with jade onyx marble effect top and gold-painted cabriole legs.  It also has ornate, gold decoration to the sides.  Although French in style, almost rococo in its opulence, this is made in England.
The top is made of alabaster covered in a resin so smooth, solid and hard-wearing.
The legs and side decoration are metal painted gold with carved detail. 
Excellent sturdy condition  throughout, just a small split to the lower side edge of the table top above one leg, as shown. This has no effect on the stability of the table and I did not notice this when I was buying it and checking the condition. Also a few small areas of light discolouration to the gold paint on the metal legs on one side. The top is unmarked except for a few very tiny, white marks close to the edge on one end, as shown. Unnoticeable.
