A beautiful reproduction of an antique, tinted engraving of Somerset House and St Mary le Strand, originally created by artist Samuel Read (1816 - 1883), engraved by E. Chavanne (around 1850) and published around 1855.
Mounted on brick red fabric and encased in a glass-fronted, gold wood-framed surround, the colours are still bright and true and the condition is excellent with just a little damage to one outer corner of the frame and minimal chips to two other external corners, all hard to see once hung at eye level.  Fixings on the reverse, ready to hang.
