This is an unusual, bevelled mirror in a long and narrow oval shape. The carved surround was once gold but has been painted black so that gold flecks are evident where the black pain has chipped. It's a lovely effect. 
This is a heavy vintage mirror by 'Morris Mirrors'. The mirror glass is in excellent condition. The surround has one chip to the wood edge, as shown, but it looks like another gold fleck so less noticeable.
Fixings to hang need to be attached to the back but easy to do and you can choose whether to hang vertically or horizontally.
