This very large and beautiful print by the renowned American impressionist artist Howard Behrens, is so life like that it tricks your senses into believing you're really there.  Behrens was the master of palette knife texturing and this piece entitled 'Il Lago Como' (Lake Como) is one of his finest examples of this technique. Through the palette knife he created a sculptural quality on the canvas where the Lake water appears to dance, the flowers catch the sunlight and the stoneware is warm to the touch. This has been called 'tactile realism'.
Wonderful condition, glass-fronted, encased in a gold wood frame with just a few scrapes here and there as shown.
